\u201cThe Voice USA\u201d Season 26 grand champion Sofronio Vasquez is set to come to the Philippines for a short visit to celebrate his victory with his fellow Filipinos.<\/p>\n

In an interview on the \u201cMeet The Press\u201d podcast, Sofronio revealed that he will return to the country in January.<\/p>\n

\u201cI got a slight confirmation that I will come home on Jan. 5,\u201d said Sofronio.<\/p>\n

He then expressed his hopes of meeting everyone who had helped him throughout his \u201cThe Voice USA\u201d journey.<\/p>\n

\u201cGusto ko lang personally magpasalamat because, in one way or another, lahat ng interviews na nagawa ko for the past two months leading to the finale talagang nag-reach out sa lahat ng Filipino,\u201d he continued.<\/p>\n

Sofronio later shared that he also looks forward to meeting President Bongbong Marcos if given the chance.<\/p>\n

\u201cHopefully, matuloy because I got the communication na sana. I would just be grateful kung matuloy kasi paano mo ba i-cu-culminate yung panalo mo? Eh \u2018di ba \u2018yung ma-meet \u2018yung president kasi \u2018yung napakalaking honor nu\u2019n na i-recognize ka ng presidente,\u201d the singer added.<\/p>\n

Sofronio made history as the first Asian and first Filipino to win \u201cThe Voice USA\u201d last Dec. 11.<\/p>\n
