Taylor Sheridan\u2019s\u00a0Yellowstone<\/em>\u00a0universe has lassoed another offshoot \u2014\u00a0The Madison<\/em>\u00a0\u2014 into development.<\/p>\n

The show won\u2019t follow the Dutton family as Season 5B of the flagship series awaits its premiere and farewell of sorts to John Dutton (Kevin Costner) and other characters, though Costner\u00a0will not return. Deadline\u00a0exclusively confirmed\u00a0an offshoot of\u00a0Yellowstone<\/em>\u00a0with Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser.<\/p>\n

How does\u00a0The Madison<\/em>\u00a0connect to\u00a0Yellowstone<\/em>?<\/h2>\n

Despite the fact that the series has been billed as a spinoff, so far, very little information has been revealed as to its connection to the main\u00a0Yellowstone<\/em>\u00a0storyline. None of the characters (that we know of, at least) from\u00a0The Madison<\/em>\u00a0appeared on screen in\u00a0Yellowstone<\/em>, nor was the spinoff ranch mentioned. The closest we seemed to get from the flagship\u2019s finale was the news that Rip and Beth would be moving to a new ranch outside of Dillon, Montana\u2014near the area known as the Madison Valley, where\u00a0The Madison<\/em>\u00a0is set.<\/p>\n
