With\u00a0Yellowstone<\/em>\u00a0over and done, the numerous spinoffs are the franchise\u2019s ticket to future stories. Ahead of the\u00a0two-hour series finale, which aired on Sunday, December 15 on\u00a0Paramount Network, it was reported that a\u00a0Beth and Rip spinoff\u00a0is in the works with\u00a0Kelly Reilly\u00a0and\u00a0Cole Hauser\u00a0set to reprise their roles. But what about the\u00a06666<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a01944<\/em>\u00a0spinoffs? Each of those shows was announced a long time ago, and there have been little to no updates on their development since. To find out, TV Insider checked in with\u00a0Yellowstone<\/em>\u00a0executive producer and director Christina Voros about the potential futures of these titles.<\/p>\n

\"Jefferson<\/p>\n

6666<\/em>\u00a0was first announced\u00a0in 2022 around the time when\u00a0Yellowstone<\/em>\u00a0Season 4 had Jimmy (Jefferson White) move to Texas to work on the Four Sixes ranch. The real-life ranch, like the land in Montana, became a character in and of itself in a Jimmy-focused episode that season and again in Season 5 Part 2 when Rip and the Yellowstone cowboys set up camp there with their cattle and horses. Beth also visited horse trainer Travis (series creator\u00a0Taylor Sheridan) in Texas in the series\u2019 penultimate episode. With so much focus on Texas in the final season, you\u2019d think Sheridan was laying the groundwork for the Texas-set\u00a06666<\/em>\u00a0spinoff, assuming it is to be set in the present day (a time period was not confirmed when the series was announced, so it could conceivably be a period origin story like\u00a01883<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a01923<\/em>). The series finale also saw\u00a0Teeter (Jen Landon) move to Texas, setting up a potential return for her should\u00a06666<\/em>\u00a0be set in the present day.<\/p>\n

1944<\/em>, on the other hand, was announced in 2023 along with\u00a0The Madison<\/em>\u00a0(which at the time was called\u00a02024<\/em>\u00a0and has since gotten a title change). A series description for\u00a01944<\/em>\u00a0was not provided, but given its numbered title it\u2019s presumed that it will be another Dutton family prequel like\u00a01883<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a01923<\/em>\u00a0set during World War II. Character and cast information were not provided for\u00a06666<\/em>\u00a0or\u00a01944<\/em>\u00a0upon their respective series announcements.\u00a0The Madison<\/em>\u00a0is set in the present day and will star\u00a0Michelle Pfeiffer,\u00a0Patrick. J Adams, and more, and that series is\u00a0already in production.<\/p>\n
