{"id":11895,"date":"2025-01-02T18:35:36","date_gmt":"2025-01-02T18:35:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/news4you.fit\/?p=11895"},"modified":"2025-01-02T18:35:36","modified_gmt":"2025-01-02T18:35:36","slug":"yellowstone-gave-every-character-an-ending-except-for-one","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/news4you.fit\/?p=11895","title":{"rendered":"\u2018Yellowstone\u2019 Gave Every Character an Ending, Except for One"},"content":{"rendered":"<header class=\"entry-header-outer\">\n<div class=\"entry-header\">\n<div class=\"single-post-meta post-meta clearfix\">\n<div class=\"tie-alignright\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/header>\n<div class=\"entry-content entry clearfix\">\n<p><em>Yellowstone<\/em>\u00a0fans watched as Rip took one final trip to the train station, but the fate of the man who went over the edge wasn\u2019t the only\u00a0fate revealed during the Season 5 finale.<\/p>\n<div class=\"stream-item stream-item-in-post stream-item-inline-post aligncenter\">\n<div class=\"stream-item-size\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Expectations heading into Sunday night\u2019s (Dec. 15) episode were that we\u2019d learn Kayce, Monica, Beth and Jamie\u2019s future, to the extent\u00a0that they had one.\u00a0However, if the credits rolled without us knowing what\u00a0was to become of Lloyd, Teeter, Ryan and Walker, we\u2019d have been pretty angry.<\/p>\n<div class=\"in-article-oop-container\"><\/div>\n<p>Fortunately, the showed provided answers to all the questions, with one glaring omission.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>Yellowstone<\/em>\u00a0Season 5, Episode\u00a014 was called \u201cLife Is a Promise\u201d and it was the final episode in the series.<\/li>\n<li>A new spinoff (described as a sixth season) has been confirmed in the media, but not by Paramount or Taylor Sheridan.<\/li>\n<li>This article contains several major spoilers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><em>Yellowstone<\/em>\u00a0Season 5 Finale Recap:<\/h3>\n<p>In a lot of ways, the finale progressed exactly how so many fans \u2014 especially those who\u2019ve watched\u00a0<em>1883<\/em>\u00a0\u2014 figured it might. Kayce and Beth sold the ranch to Rainwater for pennies on the dollar ($1.25 an acre for nearly 900,000 acres). In exchange, he agreed to parcel out 5,000 for Kayce, Monica and Tate to live on, and to never develop the land.<\/p>\n<p>That more or less put the youngest\u00a0of John Dutton\u2019s kids\u2019\u00a0future to bed. He was free of any expectations that came with being a Dutton, and there was no reason to think he\u2019d not live happily there for decades to come.<\/p>\n<div class=\"code-block class=\"post-meta\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>At the end, we watched him and Tate buy 300 head of cattle \u2014 they\u2019ve got their work cut out for them!<\/p>\n<p>Beth and Rip will also take up a ranching life after she killed Jamie Dutton and he took the body to the train station. There really weren\u2019t any plot twists \u2014 the finale was as much of a proper send off to John Dutton (and by extension, actor Kevin Costner) as it was a resolution to remaining plot lines.<\/p>\n<h3>What Happened\u00a0to \u2026 Every\u00a0<em>Yellowstone<\/em>\u00a0Character\u2019s Fate Revealed:<\/h3>\n<p>The future of each of the show\u2019s central characters was addressed in the finale, some in very specific ways. Here is what you need to know about where every\u00a0<em>Yellowstone<\/em>\u00a0personality is headed.<\/p>\n<div class=\"stream-item stream-item-in-post stream-item-inline-post aligncenter\">\n<div class=\"stream-item-size\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><strong>Beth\u00a0Dutton, Rip Wheeler and Carter<\/strong>: As mentioned, they moved to the old Big O Ranch, 40 miles west of Dillon, Mont. There they\u2019ll start their own ranch, running 600 pairs across 7,000 acres (plus 20K on a government lease).<\/p>\n<p>Notable is that Dillon is close to the Madison River Valley, where the next\u00a0<em>Yellowstone<\/em>\u00a0spinoff\u00a0<em>The Madison<\/em>\u00a0is set to take place. Could Rip and Beth be a part of that show? Or maybe the two shows will exchange cast members? Time (likely\u00a0<em>lots<\/em>\u00a0of time) will tell.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Colby Mayfield<\/strong>: Colby dies during Ep. 12 of Season 5 when he gets stomped on by an angry horse. He was trying to protect Carter.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ethan and Jake<\/strong>: The two most anonymous ranch hands got a nod during the finale when Rip starts handing out envelopes full of cash as a way of saying goodbye. The two signed on at the N-Bar Ranch, an actual ranch in central Montana.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Gator<\/strong>: Gator\u2019s future is a big unknown. He is the only character who didn\u2019t disclose his future during Ep. 14. Surely he\u2019ll go\u00a0cook for someone else, but where? Like Lug Nut Boy, the bomb on the Beck brother\u2019s plane and Tate\u2019s dinosaur bones, fans will just never know.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Kayce and Monica Dutton and Tate:<\/strong>\u00a0As mentioned above, Kayce Dutton, his wife and son will live on the 5,000-acre East Camp that used to be part of the Dutton Yellowstone Ranch, even if government land separated the two parcels. They begin their own brand of cattle farming here.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jamie Dutton<\/strong>: Jamie Dutton punched his ticket to the train station and no one was mad about it.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jimmy Hurdstrom and Emily:<\/strong>\u00a0Jimmy will continue to train horses with Travis at Bosque Ranch in Texas. He\u2019s married now, and presumably he and Emily will work on starting a family.<\/p>\n<p><strong>John Dutton<\/strong>: John Dutton died at the start of Part 2 of Season 5 of\u00a0<em>Yellowstone<\/em>. Hitmen killed the family patriarch, making it look like suicide.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lloyd Pierce:<\/strong>\u00a0Lloyd\u2019s next job description requires some translation from someone who has lived that cowboy life. Per the show\u2019s closed captions, he tells Rip, \u201cI wanna pull that loose string out of West Yellowstone.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>I don\u2019t know what that means, but it\u2019s clear he\u2019s done cowboying, as he adds that if he can\u2019t do it on the Yellowstone Ranch,\u00a0he doesn\u2019t want to do it.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Chief Rainwater + Mo:<\/strong>\u00a0We\u2019re left to believe that the noise they create by dumping pipe in the water will be enough to pressure the government away from building a pipeline through his reservation. The Broken Rock Reservation now includes the full Dutton Ranch, too, but that will be preserved as an environmental area.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ryan (No Last Name):<\/strong>\u00a0Ryan decides he\u2019s done playing cowboy and chooses to go find Abby, the singer and songwriter he fell in love with at the end of Season 5, Part 1. The plan works and they rekindle their romance after one of her concerts in Texas. For now he\u2019s going to join her on the road.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Summer Higgins<\/strong>: With John Dutton dead, Summer\u2019s presence on the ranch was not appreciated by Beth. So, during Ep. 10 of Season 5,\u00a0Beth kicks\u00a0Summer out and Rip takes her to the local airport.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Teeter (No Last Name):<\/strong>\u00a0Teeter needed to get away from Montana after boyfriend Colby Mayfield\u2019s death, so she asks Travis for a job. He agrees and she drives down to Texas to work alongside Jimmy.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Walker and Laramie (No Last Name):<\/strong>\u00a0Walker and Laramie plan to live in her camper trailer and work the rodeo circuit together.
