Paramount+ released the trailer of the\u00a0Yellowstone\u00a0<\/em>prequel right after the final episode of the original series aired last Sunday. While fans weren\u2019t too happy with what Taylor Sheridan did with the\u00a0Yellowstone\u00a0<\/em>finale, they expect him to deliver a satisfactory second and presumably final season to\u00a01923<\/em>.<\/p>\n

However, one fan theory suggests that Sheridan is bound to ruin the second season by sidelining one character. Fans expect the second season to bring Sklenar\u2019s Spencer Dutton back to Montana and unleash his fury upon the enemies of the ranch. However, the fan theory suggests that he wouldn\u2019t be able to do so due to one potential storyline.<\/p>\n

The\u00a01923 Season 2<\/em>\u00a0trailer shows that this season would pick up from right where the first season ended.\u00a0Harrison Ford\u2018s Jacob Dutton and\u00a0Helen Mirren\u2018s Cara Dutton prepare for an all-out fight against Timothy Dalton\u2019s Donald Whitfield, who has set his eyes on the ranch.<\/p>\n

Brandon Sklenar\u2018s Spencer Dutton will head back to Bozeman, Montana. His wife Alexandra, who got separated from him in the first season finale, would probably come searching for him too. While things are heading towards a thrilling climax, one theory suggests that\u00a0Taylor Sheridan\u00a0could potentially ruin it all.<\/p>\n

Throughout the entire first season, Cara Dutton has been waiting for Spencer Dutton to return to the ranch. She wants her nephew in Yellowstone so that they can push back on their enemies more powerfully. Fans already saw Spencer\u2019s unique skills in the first season and they too badly want him at the center of the fight in Montana.<\/p>\n

However, Redditor\u00a0u\/MojaveJoe1992\u00a0shares a theory suggesting that Sheridan could just throw all the expectations for Sklenar\u2019s character out of the window. The trailer saw Jacob Dutton waiting for Spencer in the train station and the fan noted how Ford\u2019s character takes out his Colt M1911 from inside his jacket in the trailer.<\/p>\n

The fan speculated that something was going to go horribly wrong at the train station, even suggesting that a gunfight would take place between the Duttons and the enemy. The fan speculated that this encounter would badly injure Spencer and leave him in a state similar to that of Jacob in the first season. In the absence of Spencer, Jacob and possibly Jack Dutton would take over the duty to defend their ranch.<\/p>\n

The Duttons are going to retain the ranch, which is no suspense considering Kevin Costner\u2019s John Dutton still had the ownership of the ranch in the original series. However, the second season is not going to make that journey any easier for the Dutton family headed by Harrison Ford\u2019s Jacob Dutton. The synopsis of the second season of\u00a01923\u00a0<\/em>reads (via THR):<\/p>\n

A cruel winter brings new challenges and unfinished business to Jacob and Cara back at Dutton ranch. With harsh conditions and adversaries threatening to end the Dutton legacy, Spencer embarks on an arduous journey home, racing against time to save his family in Montana. Meanwhile, Alexandra sets off on her own harrowing trans-Atlantic journey to find Spencer and reclaim their love.<\/em><\/p>\n

It can be deduced from the synopsis that it might take longer for Spencer to reach the Dutton ranch, given his\u00a0\u201carduous\u201d<\/em>\u00a0journey home. He already had a long and difficult journey. Things would be even more difficult for Alexandra, who will face potential problems in entering the U.S.<\/p>\n
