Taylor Sheridan has seemingly learned from his mistakes concerning Kayce and Monica\u2019s love story in\u00a0Yellowstone<\/em>, as evidenced by the development of one couple in his new show,\u00a0Landman<\/strong><\/em>. Sheridan continues his TV dominance with the Paramount+ drama series, which follows Billy Bob Thornton\u2019s Tommy.\u00a0Thornton\u2019s character is a landman at an oil company\u00a0<\/strong>who handles problems with local landowners, oil patch crews, and sometimes the cartel. As such, Tommy faces a lot of danger. He often gets into himself sticky situations, just like\u00a0the Dutton family did in\u00a0Yellowstone<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately,\u00a0Yellowstone<\/em>\u00a0has seemingly come to an end after season 5, part 2. Some reports claim that a sixth season is possible, but with Beth and Rip\u2019s spinoff and several other shows (like\u00a0Landman<\/em>) on Sheridan\u2019s plate, he might be too busy to continue\u00a0Yellowstone<\/em>. Based on\u00a0the positive response to\u00a0Landman<\/em>, it\u2019s probably for the best that Sheridan focuses on his newer projects.\u00a0Fans can move on from rooting for Kayce and Monica in\u00a0Yellowstone<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0to cheering for another couple in the Paramount+ drama.<\/p>\n

Landman\u2019s Cooper & Ariana Story Is Like Yellowstone\u2019s Unseen Kayce & Monica Backstory<\/h2>\n

The Audience Never Got To See The Beginning Of Kayce & Monica\u2019s Romance<\/h3>\n

The first half of\u00a0Landman<\/em>\u00a0season 1 has been slowly but surely building Cooper and Ariana\u2019s romance. It\u2019s rather complicated, seeing as she had a husband who recently died. Plus,\u00a0Cooper was beaten up at the end of\u00a0Landman<\/em>\u00a0episode 5\u00a0because of his connection to Ariana and his inability to stay away from her. While all these factors are concerning,\u00a0Cooper and Ariana\u2019s story is somewhat reminiscent of Kayce and Monica\u2019s romance in\u00a0Yellowstone<\/em>.<\/strong>\u00a0However, unlike Cooper and Ariana, the 2018 neo-Western drama series never showed Kayce and Monica\u2019s backstory.<\/p>\n

Monica\u2019s family likely held the same grudges against Kayce when they first started dating that Ariana\u2019s deceased husband\u2019s family does in\u00a0Landman<\/em>. Cooper is even attacked by them because of his burgeoning relationship with Ariana. It\u2019s quite possible that Kayce had to go through the same thing in\u00a0Yellowstone<\/em>. Season 1 of\u00a0Taylor Sheridan\u2019s first TV show\u00a0implied that\u00a0Monica\u2019s brother, Robert, could barely tolerate Kayce\u00a0<\/strong>(before Robert killed Kayce\u2019s brother, Lee, which resulted in Kayce killing Robert).\u00a0Yellowstone<\/em>\u00a0never fully told that story, though, and now\u00a0Landman<\/em>\u00a0gets to.<\/p>\n
