After five seasons with over 11 million viewers tuning in, \u201cYellowstone\u201d ended on Dec. 15.<\/p>\n
But, shortly before the finale, it was reported that stars Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser\u00a0have closed deals to lead a spinoff show about their characters, husband and wife Beth and Rip. So, it\u2019s not entirely over. Plus, the show\u00a0has several spinoffs\u00a0in the works.<\/p>\n

Created by Taylor Sheridan, \u201cYellowstone\u201d was about the Dutton family, owners of the largest ranch in Montana, including patriarch John (Kevin Costner), who was also the governor\u00a0before his death, and his adult children Kayce (Luke Grimes), Jamie (Wes Bentley), Beth (Kelly Reilly) and Beth\u2019s husband, Rip (Cole Hauser).<\/p>\n

Costner left after the first half of Season 5,\u00a0amid rumors of a feud with Sheridan. The show dealt with his absence by killing John off, in a hit man attack that was initially staged to look like a suicide.<\/p>\n
Costner won a Golden Globe in 2023 for the role, and the show got a \u201cproduction design\u201d Emmy nomination in 2021, but otherwise, the cowboy drama has been largely snubbed.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think that the number of awards or the nominations that have come up over the years for Taylor\u2019s work is vastly disproportionate to the caliber of work that\u2019s out there,\u201d Voros told The Post.<\/p>\n
She added, \u201cI think when you make something that you\u2019re really proud of, it almost doesn\u2019t matter what everybody else thinks. And that\u2019s how I feel about the finale of the show.\u201d<\/p>\n

The\u00a0show ended\u00a0by laying John Dutton to rest with a funeral on the ranch. Meanwhile, Kayce sold the ranch to local Native American reservation leader Thomas Rainwater (Gil Birmingham). Beth had a brutal fight with her despised brother Jamie, ultimately ending in Jamie\u2019s death. Beth then found peace with Rip on a new ranch.<\/p>\n
\u201cAs someone who knows the show more intimately than most, I think we did all of it justice,\u201d said Voros.<\/p>\n
She continued,\u00a0\u201cI think we did Taylor justice. I think we did the Duttons justice.\u201d<\/p>\n
About the possibility that Season 5 could break the shows\u2019 awards snubs, she said, \u201cIt\u2019s up to those who watch it to determine whether they think it deserves an award or not. But, our work is done.\u201d<\/p>\n
