After a whirlwind year filled with dream-come-true moments\u2014from performing in New York to singing for King Charles\u2014Sydnie is now back on the very stage where it all began, and looking ahead to one of Europe\u2019s biggest platforms: Eurovision.<\/p>\n

This summer, she returns to London\u2019s iconic Eventim Apollo, but this time not as a contestant\u2014she\u2019s stepping into the spotlight as the villainous Cruella de Vil in 101 Dalmatians: The Musical. Playing the stylish but sinister role is a big shift from the vulnerable ballads that won her the BGT title, but Sydnie is more than ready.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a dream to be back on this stage. I\u2019ve always wanted to do musical theatre, and now I get to do it\u2014on my birthday, no less,\u201d she laughed, referring to the musical\u2019s opening night on her 30th birthday.<\/em><\/p>\n

The show is packed with energy, live music, and even real puppies\u2014yes, real puppies. \u201cThey have their own dressing room and are probably the most pampered cast members,\u201d Sydnie joked, while holding a lively pup named Vegas during a recent interview. \u201cBut I love dogs, so I don\u2019t mind the chaos one bit!\u201d<\/p>\n

After her run as Cruella wraps on August 31, Sydnie will headline her own solo concert just days later on September 9 at London\u2019s Adelphi Theatre. It\u2019s a full-circle moment for someone who, just a year ago, was still adjusting to life in the spotlight.<\/p>\n

\u201cI still can\u2019t believe how far I\u2019ve come in such a short time,\u201d she said. \u201cFrom BGT to the West End, performing in America, releasing my debut album, and now putting on my own show\u2014it\u2019s a dream.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

But Sydnie is already looking ahead. In between rehearsals, she\u2019s been writing music for her next big goal: representing the UK at Eurovision.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt would mean the world,\u201d she said. \u201cI watched Mae Muller last year and felt so proud. I\u2019m in songwriting sessions now, really trying to figure out who I am as an artist. If I do Eurovision, I want to bring something bold, exciting, and totally \u2018me\u2019\u2014big vocals, big emotion, and big staging!\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

And if her past performances are any sign, she\u2019s got what it takes. With her bluesy tone, powerhouse high notes, and a voice that stirs real emotion, Sydnie could be just the kind of act the UK needs to make a serious impact at Eurovision.<\/p>\n
