During a live performance in August 2024, Darci Lynne\u2019s puppet\u00a0friend Petunia\u00a0dazzled audiences with some Italian opera. Of course, Lynne (a singing ventriloquist and\u00a0America\u2019s Got Talent<\/em>\u00a0Season 12 champion) was actually doing the singing, yet again showing\u00a0the musical skills fans fell in love with during her Audition.<\/p>\n

The amount of range and clarity Lynne possesses\u00a0with her mouth closed\u00a0is mesmerizing. \u201cPetunia\u201d sounded like an\u00a0honest-to-goodness opera singer\u00a0\u2014 the performance was magical.<\/p>\n

This Italian opera piece\u00a0may sound familiar to\u00a0AGT<\/em>\u00a0fans. Lynne performed it during the Season 1 finale of\u00a0AGT: The Champions<\/em>\u00a0in 2020. Her and Petunia\u2019s rendition of \u201cO Mio Babbino Caro\u201d earned the duo a standing ovation.<\/p>\n

Their 2024 performance is just as impressive. Lynne\u00a0hitting those high notes\u00a0without once opening her mouth shows the star is in a music class all her own. Whether she incorporates her puppet friends to help her sing or not, Lynne\u2019s voice has become more and more powerful over the years \u2014 and it shows.<\/p>\n
