Delroy Lindo<\/strong>‘s family isn’t feeling any blues about his\u00a02026 Oscars nomination<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0Sinners<\/em>\u00a0actor revealed the sweet moment he shared with his and wife\u00a0Nashormeh N.R. Lindo<\/strong>‘s son\u00a0Damiri Lindo<\/strong>\u00a0after he earned a Best Supporting Actor nod for his performance as blues musician Delta Slim in the 2025 vampire horror film. In fact, Delroy told E! News in an exclusive interview that Damiri\u2014who is currently working in Europe\u2014was the first one in their family to learn the exciting news.<\/p>\n

“I was in bed,” he recalled. “My phone rang. It was my son. I picked it up and said, ‘Hey man,’ and he said, ‘Dad, dad, you got it. You got that s–t.'”<\/p>\n

Emphasizing that his son was “very excited,” the 73-year-old went on to explain why it was a full-circle moment.<\/p>\n

“It means the world because he’s seen it all,” Delroy said. “He’s seen it away from the red carpet. He’s seen both sides of it. So, along with my wife, they have the internal and the external perspective on this journey. It felt completely right on to receive this news from my son.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n
