The Voice<\/em>\u00a0was filled with moving performances Monday, the first night of the Live Shows. The eight contestants still standing gave their all to win the votes of America and make the final five.<\/p>\n

Shye, a teenager from Bethlehem, Pa., gave perhaps the most memorable, with her gorgeous take on\u00a0Brandi Carlile\u2019s \u201cThe Joke.\u201d<\/p>\n

Although viewers will make the decision about performances for the first time this week, coaches\u00a0Snoop Dogg,\u00a0Gwen Stefani,\u00a0Reba McEntire, and\u00a0Michael Bubl\u00e9\u00a0still weighed in. And they were stunned.<\/p>\n

\u201cI see the record now,\u201d Stefani said of the music the contestant would release.<\/p>\n

Shye\u2019s evaluation from McEntire was just as complimentary, The \u201cFancy\u201d artists said that she \u201cmesmerized\u201d her.<\/p>\n

But the highest praise came from Shye\u2019s own coach, Bubl\u00e9, who is, of course, gunning for a win.<\/p>\n

\u201cBarbra, Adele. Celine. Shye,\u201d he said of\u00a0Barbra Streisand,\u00a0Adele, and\u00a0Celine Dion. \u201cNo pressure, girlfriend. I never hear anybody in any competition that sounds like you.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
