Vasquezâs journey to victory on The Voice was nothing short of remarkable. Following two electrifying performances of âUnstoppableâ by Sia and âA Million Dreamsâ from The Greatest Showman, he garnered the most votes from viewers, securing his spot as the winner. Along with the prestigious title of The Voice champion, Vasquez also earned a $100,000 prize and a record deal.
In an emotional moment after his win, Vasquez expressed his gratitude to his coach, Michael BublĂ©, saying, âYour mentorship is a blessing to me, my family, and to all the dreamers out there. You have opened up so many doors.â This win marked BublĂ©âs first The Voice victory, and he made history as the only coach to have two contestants in the top five, with 17-year-old Shye from New York taking the runner-up spot.
Vasquezâs rise to fame began in his home country, where he auditioned for The Voice of the Philippines nearly a decade ago but failed to turn any chairs. Despite that setback, he remained determined to pursue a music career. After the sudden passing of his father, Vasquez moved to the U.S. to chase his dream and make his father proud. He found a dental program in Buffalo, New York, where he eventually settled in Utica, a place he now proudly calls home.

Before stepping into the music world full-time, Vasquez was on track to become a dentist. He passed the dental boards in the Philippines and even practiced for a while. However, music eventually called, and his cover of âThatâs What Friends Are Forâ went viral on Facebook, amassing over 9.5 million views. His success continued as his TikTok cover of âNothingâs Gonna Change My Love for Youâ gained around 1 million views.
