The rapper dished on his time mentoring young artists and shared his biggest take away. ā€œThe love, you know, engaging with the coaches and the artists. Like, it’s real family. It’s for real, it’s not fake,ā€ says the rapper. ā€œI mean, when you do TV shows, sometimes when they say cut or when or you go home, it’s like the show ends. This show never ends. We’re connected. We are part of each other’s lives now, forever. That’s from the coaches to the artists.ā€

Snoop was on the show alongside fellow coaches Michael BublƩ, Reba McEntire, and Gwen Stefani.

The 53-year-old recalled meeting BublƩ for the first time.

ā€œMike was cool. You know what I’m saying? When we first met, just like we hit it off immediately. It just felt like the nerves was gone, because I’m always an icebreaker. You know what I mean? If I love what you do and I love your spirit, something about mine just connects with yours, and we met at the upfronts in New York and then when we got on the set, it just felt like it was 10 – 15 years as far as a real friendship.ā€

Snoop Dogg has also gotten close with country singer Reba McEntire. When asked if his bestie Martha Stewart might feel jealous of their growing friendship, the rapper assured it’s all love among his friends.

ā€œI think that Reba’s relationship is more like an auntie,ā€ he said. ā€œJust her love that she provides from just sitting next to her, like, you just gotta feel it, you get it. It’s a pleasure to be able to sit next to her.

After taking on duties as a special correspondent for NBC at the 2024 Paris Olympics, Snoop invited gold-medalist Simone Biles on the show to coach the artists.

ā€œSimone was so educated on music and life and just the way that she gave affirmation and direction, she was such a great mental, like I didn’t know she would be that good, not that I didn’t think she was good, but she overachieved as far as I’m concerned,ā€ says Snoop. ā€œI learned a few things from her and I just love the way she was engaged with the artists, and she gave real information that they actually used. So thank you Simone! I appreciate you.ā€
