While Gwen Stefani is busy being a coach on The Voice season 26, sheâs also making major moves in the music industry.
The former No Doubt singer has released new songs over the last few months, with her latest album Bouquet dropping in November. She moved from the world of rock to the world of classical music when she teamed up with Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli for an emotional duet called âHolding On,â featured on Andreaâs recent album Duets. The two recently collaborated on a joint Instagram post to reveal that fans can now enjoy the lyric video for the track on YouTube.
Watch their duet in the new song below.
âWhoâs heard the beautiful new song with Gwen Stefani â âHolding On?’â Andrea wrote in the caption of the Instagram. âThe reaction to the track has been phenomenal, the brand new lyric video is out now!â
Shortly after the news broke online, Gwen shared her excitement. âSuch an honor to do this song with you đ«¶đŒ âš @andreabocelliofficial đgx,â she replied in the comments.
Fans of both artists were ecstatic to see the two make music together, with some even expressing surprise at the collaboration.
âPhenomenal duet!!! Beautiful song, beautiful vocals. I hope we get a TV performance â€ïžâ€ïžâ€ïž,â one person inquired. âTwo people I never imagined doing a duet, and itâs beautiful!â a different person commented on the YouTube lyric video, to which another replied, âAgree. I was surprisingly shocked to see these two. So far, itâs beautiful.â
Itâs thrilling to witness Gwen continue to venture outside of the pop-rock genre in exciting ways. As her longtime fans know, she loves to sing country duets with her husband, Blake Shelton. Their most recent duet, âPurple Irises,â came out in February, and we hope to see even more music from the pair soon.
Until then though, we are more than happy to listen to Gwen and Andreaâs gorgeous song on repeat.
